Volunteer with Us!

We couldn't help the abused or neglected farm animals without the work of our amazing volunteers. We are looking for both individuals and groups to come help us out. If you would like to join our fantastic volunteers, please fill out our volunteer application.

Our Barn Team volunteers work hard to ensure that each and every animal is fed, watered, medicated, and cared for each day. We have a morning team and evening team for everyday of the week. The teams work to ensure:

  • All animals are fed and have water. This includes grain and putting out hay where needed.

  • Stalls are cleaned by morning teams. Water is filled and the correct amount of hay is in each stall.

  • Horses are brought in or turned out. In the warmer months horses go out at night and in the cold months they are out during the day.

  • Ensure that each animal is comfortable, in its appropriate area and properly cared for.

We ask that you are able to make a commitment of volunteering on the same three hour shift, once a week, for 3 months. This helps our animals with being consistent and animals love consistency.

Volunteers must be 14 years old or older and parents must attend orientation with all minors. We welcome all people of all abilities but need to let everyone know that this is not easy work. You will have to walk over uneven ground, push, pull, and lift on a regular basis.

If you have any questions about volunteering or have a group that wishes to do a service project, please call 865-742-2047.
